bmurator Iranian Atmospheric / Post-Black Metal. Short but oh so sweet! What a perfect little EP this is! I think this might be Harpag's best yet! I really would have likied a full album but... :) Endless repeats it is! Highly recommended!!!

In the frozen dark of your winter The coldest wind cruelly blows Reaches up to kiss the highest mountaintop Burying my broken heart in snow And out of all the memories we shared Grows a garden here instead There wasn't any sun, there wasn't any moon But my fire's shining through

Hwaa (花) 05:32
In the frozen dark of your winter The coldest wind cruelly blows Reaches up to kiss the highest mountaintop Burying my broken heart in snow Get up, build a fire that'll overtake the ice Get up, build a fire that is gonna dry the tears I've cried And out of all the memories we shared Grows a garden here instead There wasn't any sun, there wasn't any moon But my fire's shining through Reddest red, all these flowers bloom When my heart forgets your old distant tune With my burning flame I'll ignite the sun just like the spring has come (Flames come alive) Higher and higher The flame of my fire can grow and grow Burning and burning It's finally time to let go, HWAA

about

This EP is my two interpretations of the song HWAA by the South Korean girl group (G)I-dle. The song itself is about heartbreak and the subsequent healing and moving on. But with its unique scenery and artistic approach, it can become subject to deeper emotional awakening and that is why I came up with two cover versions of the same song. The first song (火/Fire) is the raging growl inside you when sadness and heartbreak conquer your heart; the second one (花/Flower) is the prevailing anthem of coming to terms and moving on.

I poured my own emotions into the already touching sound of the original song. It is of course imperfect, but I mean to express my deepest respect to the group and above all, its leader, Soyeon, for she has been a source of inspiration to me and can be an exemplary artist to the younger audience: A woman of talent, hard work and self-confidence.

May this little journey appeal to your ears, wandering listener.
